This model was supervised by Timpani percussion instrument player Yoshihiro Anto, and it has a firmer profile while adding weight to the head of the mallet. The shaft is made of a thin hickory material, and the mallet is lightweight for excellent mallet maneuverability.
Cork wood on the head for intense attack and clear tones. This model is lighter than the "wood drone" that is made entirely of wood, so it is less burden on the timpani head surface.
