Description
Since its original release in 1964, Mustang Bass has been one of Fenders longest base designs and has been used by bassists, from The Rolling Stones to My Chemical Romance. This model adds the power of Precision Bass® and Jazz Bass® pickups to a traditional Mustang design to deliver flexible, powerful bass and smooth playability and sophisticated visual style.
With the PJ pickup configuration, the Mustang Bass PJ has the flexibility to handle every acoustic. Combined with a split single coil P Bass® middle pickup with a punch of Jazz Bass neck pickups that combine the best of two base models. Master volume and tone control, plus traditional 3-way pickup switches allow for a wide range of downward designs. The 30" scale is not only suitable for smaller hands, but also reduces the tension of the strings and is suitable for light playing styles. The 9.5" radius maple fingerboard with 19 medium yam jumbo frets and C-shaped maple neck will accommodate any loose play style.
The compact size body appeals to the fenders classic styling while still being easy to fit petite players, and its light weight makes it ideal for energetic stage performance moments.
