Description

Color targets for Transparency Film (Transparency Manuscript) only for SilverFast Ai Studio, Archive Suite
"Target" is a type of measuring table that calculates the accurate color recognition ability of scanners and identifies scanners specific points.
Produces a color profile for scanning translucent film materials like slides.

What is Calibration?
It is a necessary job to accurately duplicate the color of the film you are scanning.
It can correct color difference due to scanners product characteristics and environmental factors such as change in characteristics, temperature, humidity, and brightness over time, and minimize the effects of color on the product.

You can use this product to create scanner profiles automatically.
Once the scanner is calibrated complete, SilverFast creates a separate color profile for the scanner from the measured color value and automatically activates it. No need to find the right reference files or set the profile yourself as an input profile.

Q: I use SE version, can I purchase IT8 calibration function optional?
A: Unfortunately, it cant. Only available for professional versions of SilverFast Ai Studio and Archive Suite users. If you have a SE version, you can upgrade the Ai Studio and Archive Suite from the Laser Soft Imaging online store at a discount price.

Q: Do I need a different target for each scanning of reflected and transparent manuscript is calibrated respectively?
A: Yes, you need different targets. Because the light source inside the scanner is different, the profile is also required to make different one. Therefore, you should have both reflective and transparent targets if needed. For example, the scanner profiles created by scanning the transparent original documents are not considered when scanning the reflective original, in this case, the reflection manuscript is scanned without calibration.

Q: What is Delta-E value (color difference)?
A: When IT8 calibration is finally completed, SilverFast shows the Delta-E value of the measured average deviation. This deviation is the average deviation of the measurements from the expected value of reference files in each color field. Usually range from 0.8 to 3.0.

Q: Can I try IT8 calibration function with Ai Studio experience version?
A: Unfortunately, we can.

This product is only compatible with SilverFast Ai Studio and Archive Suite.
