Lodge was born in 1896 by Joseph Lodge in South Pittsburgh, USA.
Since then, we have been adhering to cast irons with the belief that choosing good tools is the first step in creating delicious dishes.
LODGE cast iron products are pre-seasoned with soy oil and factory use. Just pop it out of the box and wash it with warm water and you can use it immediately without any messy break-in.
Cast iron features slow transfer of heat.
Cast iron may be similar to stone than iron with high heat conductivity.
Furthermore, the flesh build of 5 mm enhances its metallic properties.
This gives you the heat control that other cookware can, and brings the flavor of the ingredients out of the core.
It can be used for direct flames, induction heaters, halogen heaters, as well as in the oven. Not for microwave use
