How to Play D&D
1. Dungeon Master describes the scene
Dungeon Master tells players where their character is and what surrounds them, giving them the basic options about themselves (such as the number of doors going outside the room, what is on the table, the person in the inn etc.).
2. Decide what players do
One player may say that one player represents the whole party, but often one player can do different actions, such as trying to open the door and checking if there is no secret passage on the wall.
Players dont necessarily have to declare "Im / what I do", but Dungeon Master listens to all players and decides how to solve these behaviors.
3. Dungeon Master (and players) declare their achievements
Solving tasks is simple. If an adventurer wants to open the door across the room, the Dungeon Master just says, "Door Open" and explain what is behind.
However, some cases are keyed doors, hidden fatal traps on floor, and are difficult for adventurers to complete their missions. In such cases, the Dungeon Master decides what will happen.
Often what happens after is depends on the results of the dice.
This flow is repeatedly for all occasions where a decision is required in the game.
In certain situations (especially in combats), the action is more structured, and the player (and the Dungeon Master) alternates selecting actions toward the next resolution. However, in most cases, gameplay is fluid and changes according to the situation of adventure.
In combat, Dungeon Master can encourage players to declare attack or finish brow to be more immersive in the game.
