The KR-11 is battery operated, lightweight and compact design. It also has a speaker so you can easily play a wide variety of rhythm and phrases on the back. In addition to basic patterns such as 8 beats and 16 beats, it also includes Island for Ukulele, Blues/R&B for guitarists, and Country.
The 3 threats also covers more complex patterns such as 5 and 7 threats, and the swing function allows you to change the pattern and expand the range of variation. It also has a metronome function for basic practice.

Expansivity
Optional pedal switch allows you to start and stop in Pattern Play Mode, change patterns and fill in, allowing you to smoothly control the KR-11 without using both hands. The pad play mode also allows you to play any drum tone with the pedal switch for more drum like play (assigned bass drum and high hat when factory).
The KR-11 also comes with headphone/line-out terminals that can be connected to a PA or other to ring a drum phrase from a monitor speaker. For instance, it is very useful when used with a guitar amplifier.
