Description

Mizusawa, Iwate Prefecture, a casting product with a history of about 900 years. The casting technology has been inherited to support the culture of Hiraizumi and continues to create everyday items that are lively in the modern day.
Because the chlorine odor of the tap water is eliminated by the tetsukar, the taste of tea is delicious.
The inside of the tetsukar is left as if the iron skin touches the hot water directly by leaving an oxidized coating from the "kilogen" that is fired at a high temperature over 800 degrees after casting. Finished with lacquer baked on the outside.
The iron kettle is made to come in contact with air and water, so it may rust regardless of how it is handled but it can be used if there is a little rust or the water is not cloudy.
The heat source can be used for direct fire, induction cooker (IH200V), electric heater, and halogen.
Full water capacity is about 1.5 liters. (When boiling water, please do not add water at least 7 minutes of the main unit as there is a risk of burns or other injuries.)
