WAVIOブランドでは初めてのリングツィーターを採用
外径30ｍｍ/内径18mmのリング型振動板を、同軸上に配した直径25mmのボイスコイルで駆動することで、駆動ポイントから振動板の端までの間隔を最短とする「バランスドライブ構造」を採用。振動板の分割振動を極限まで抑制し、可聴帯域上限とされる20kHz近くまでたわむことなくピストンモーションで駆動できるため、今までにないクリアな高域再生を実現している。また振動板を固定するイコライザーは、100kHzにおよぶ超高域までをよりフラットな周波数特性で再生できる形状を新開発。さらに振動板周辺での不要音の反射防止をはじめ、徹底したノイズ除去対策を施すことで、音場感豊かで艶美な高域を再生を実現。従来キャビネットに取り付けられるホーン·イコライザーは、振動板からの振動以外にキャビネットからの振動も影響を受けやすく、そのためホーン·イコライザー自身からも不要な音として放射されてしまいました。そこで、オンキヨーでは中央から放射状に形成された連結アームの幅に対し、連続的に変化させた連結リブをホーン·イコライザーの裏面に設けることで振動伝達で生じる反射を低減させることによって、4次以上の高次高調波歪み成分を低減させた。これにより、特にヴォーカル帯域での表現力が飛躍的に向上、声のツヤや感情表現のこまやかなニュアンスまでも欠落することなくありのままに感じ取ることができる。

デジタル信号からピュアなアナログ信号を生成、特許技術「VLSC」を搭載
デジタル入力されD/A変換された信号には、音のディテールに関わる微小な信号をマスクするパルス性デジタルノイズが残留している。一般的にはローパスフィルターを通すことによって除去を図りますが、この方式では完全には除去できません。オンキヨーは、「比較器」の指示をもとに「ベクトル発生器」でノイズを含まないまったく新しいアナログ信号を生成するVLSC( Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry )を開発。パルス性ノイズの完全除去に成功し、音の実在感や空間描写力を飛躍的に向上させた。DVDやCDのサウンドはもとより圧縮して保存されたMP3などの音楽も、音の実感にあふれたピュアなサウンドで再現。
