Simple type chain checker. Easily check chain extension by 0.5% or 0.75% for speedy operation. Longer measurement range and more precise than before.
When the chain of your bike is worn out, the shift may be worse, and the derailleur and rear cog may cause overwear and more expensive issues. Therefore, bike parts manufacturers recommend replacing chains at regular wear intervals. The Park Tool CC-3.2 is a go/nogo gauge designed to accurately indicate when the chain reaches 0.5% and 0.75% wear (or "stretch"), meaning that most chain manufacturers have reached the point that we recommend replacing. CC-3.2 is long, precise, and has permanent measurement marks. The CC-3.2 works with most derailleur chains* from 5 speeds to 12 speeds. For 5 to 10 speed chains, replace the chain so that the gauge fits flat to the 0.75% side. For 11 or 12 speed chains, please replace the 0.5% side will fit. Contact the manufacturer for specific replacement instructions.
