MS Recording

MS recording is an amazing technique that allows you to adjust the stereo spread after recording.Whats more, it is fully compatible with mono, so it is useful for recording audio from movies, videos, and TV shows.

The MS Microphone combines a unidirectional mid-mic for capturing forward sounds and a bi-directional side mic that captures sound from left and right.

The H2n built-in MS decoder allows you to adjust the Mid and Side levels while recording and post-production as well as after recording.Raising the side level for a more stereo feel.

XY Recording

XY Recording is a technique that allows you to record a wide stereo space while keeping the center position sound image clear, making it ideal for all types of stereo recording.

The H2ns built-in XY microphone set two matching microphones to 90º perfect for most stereo recording.

Surround Recording

The H2n combines the XY microphone and MS microphone for recording surround sounds from all directions as well as the front and 360°.

Two channel mode creates a stereo file with a mix of sound from all H2n microphones; 4 channel mode creates two files of a stereo file that has been collected by the XY microphone and a stereo file that has been recorded by a MS microphone.You can connect the signal of each track to each speaker to play back to create a surround space or mix it into a stereo track.In either mode, you can also adjust the level of the MS microphones side microphone using the built-in MS decoder on the H2n.

Input/Output

The H2n line input has a 3.5mm stereo mini jack that can input two channels of microphone and line level signals.It also supports 2.5 V plug-in power, so you can connect the electric condenser microphone.The microphone gain has an analog style volume and can be adjusted manually for each input level.It also has 3 types of auto gain functions that can automatically optimize the recording level.

The line output is a 3.5mm mini stereo jack with dedicated volume control.Headphones can also be connected to this terminal, making them ideal for monitoring input and recording levels during recording.In addition, the mono speaker is built into the back of the main unit, so you can check the recording immediately without connecting anything after recording.
