LODGE cast iron products are pre-seasoned with soy oil and factory use. Just pop it out of the box and wash it with warm water and you can use it immediately without any messy break-in.
Cast iron features slow transfer of heat.
Cast iron may be similar to stone than iron with high heat conductivity.
Furthermore, the flesh build of 5 mm enhances its metallic properties.
This gives you the heat control that other cookware can, and brings the flavor of the ingredients out of the core.
It can be used for direct flames, induction heaters, halogen heaters, as well as in the oven. Not for microwave use

Cook and care for your lodge seasoned cast iron

Caring for cast iron doesnt need to be complicated.Lodge cookware is already seasoned and ready to use, so you can quickly make your familys favorite recipes.Can be used on heat sources from top of stove to campfire (not microwave oven).The more you use it, the better the seasoning will be.

Wash cast iron by hand with a mild detergent or dry quickly and thoroughly with a lint free cloth or paper towel. Hang or store cookware in a very light layer of vegetable oil, preferably in a dry place where the cookware is still warm
