AF drive adopts new STM for high driving power and silence.With enhanced rotational torque, the high drive power allows you to control the large aperture lens with bright lenses, providing high imaging performance and even higher resolution depiction.The new STM uses ball bearings for smoother shaft rotation and quiet, smooth AF control so you can enjoy comfortable shooting in situations where the lens is concerned about.In addition to being able to achieve high optical performance and AF quietness, the shaft rattling is reduced than before, it is less likely to be affected by external impacts, and ensures high reliability of the AF drive mechanism.
