The RE-2 is a compact pedal that reproduces the Roland RE-201 Space Echo to an unprecedented level.

Legendary Space Echo
Tape Echo was the first effector to get a potent effect and the warm dynamic sound attracted many musicians. Born in 1974, the Roland RE-201 Space Echo delivers rhythmic echo with three equally spaced playheads unlike typical units with one playhead.

Contracts the charm of a famous machine
Just like the original, three playhead and reverb combinations are easily selectable by the MODE knob. REPEAT RATE can be extended to twice the length of the original, making it attractive enough for modern music. The WOW & FLUTTER knob controls the natural modulation effect caused by unstable rotation of magnetic tape. In addition, you can choose whether direct sound is going through or through the preamp. When preamp passes through, you get warm direct sound that is unique to Space Echo.
Convenient Features
The RE-2 is compact yet has many convenient features. Long press on the pedal allows you to control the tap tempo function and the TWIST turn on and off the extreme echo sound. The input is stereo-compatible, so you can achieve a wider reverb effect. The top of the pedal is equipped with a CARRY OVER ON/OFF switch, so you can easily set it to either leave an echo sound when the effect is turned off.

External expansions to spread expression
RE-2 is equipped with CTL1,2/EXP expansion terminals.
