Shigaraki ware is a breeze made in Shigarami, Koga, Shiga Prefecture. It is said to have a long history of over 1200 years as one of the six-kilns in Japan.
Loochimon is the original name of Shigarakis artisan word used for "Fugawari Mono". The variety of shapes created by nature and the vessel has a variety of expressions, just like our individual personality. It is filled with the hearts and playfulness of masters who care about "inconsistency".
The hand-painted cherry blossoms are rustic, and have a crisp white makeup, and the slight blue penetration glaze is a breeze.
Each item may vary from the picture shown due to variations in size, color and glaze resistance. Enjoy the taste of pottery.
