PROMARK was founded in 1957 by Herb Brochstein, the owner of the professional drummer and drum specialty store.PROMARK is a family owned philosophy brand that remains the same even after DAddario acquired Promark from Herb son, Maury in 2011.The offices are left in Houston, Texas, and produced drum sticks from their 90,000 square foot facility using Hickory, Maple and Japanese White Oak Oak Oak factory.

Because of its good balance of resilience, responsiveness, and durability, Hickory is a wood widely used in traditional drum sticks. PROMARK American Hickory Drum Sticks have a wide lineup of wood chips, nylon tips, lacquer finishes, natural finishes, "ActiveGrip" which reacts to heat for a more comfortable grip, and "FireGrain" which is highly durable through heat treatment.

Strict wood selections at our lumber mills

Strict weight pairing

Direct connection to playability, the weight difference of the left and right sticks is matched to factory top ±1.5 grams or less.At the same time the weight measurement the blue roller on the right of the photo is checked to ensure that the stick is straight, no distortion or warping.

High-precision tone pairing

Natural wood may vary depending on the wood and the volume of the wood is cut out.PROMARK uses a photographed beater inspection machine to strike the stick and measure the tone of the left and right within 6.0 Hz.Pairing with high accuracy that does not feel any differences in the tone of your hearing.
