Endless loops of steel bead chains are wrapped around a specially finished stainless steel cylinder. It is mounted on a wooden flange and has a wooden handle. (MINI is a plastic base)
By rotating and shaking the flange, the steel beads rub onto the stainless steel surface to produce a rhythmic bouncy sound. Larger models, louder sounds, but smaller models are soft but easy to control.
