Henretta Engineering sold the first guitar effect pedal, Choad Blaster in the autumn of 2009.
Since 2011, we have made a very small "no-knobber" line with no knobbers.
Henretta Engineering pedals are handmade in the USA.
Builder Kevin Henretta has been dedicated to guitar equipment since their teenagers and has been repeating various trials and errors for decades.
In 2008, Kevin starts looking for a great distortion pedal that fits your vintage amp.
But we couldnt find distortion at the level you are looking for.
The trade-off of dynamics and sustain is too smooth for reeds, too dark in the rhythm or vice versa.
Thats why Kevin began producing effectors with years of custom electronics experience.
And the Choad Blaster is complete.
The circuit incorporates a unique gain structure that came from mild overdrives to heavy distortion, with only two knobs.
The knob adjusts the distortion from low end to low mid and high mid crunches.
It was very popular when selling that pedal, and it was rated as a pedal between fuzz and distortion, especially open sound among many distortion systems.
In addition, Kevin has been able to design more effectors and finally completed the very small "no-knobber" line.
■Product description
Orange Whip Compressor is a very simple and small compressor pedal. Very small 5.0cm x 5.0cm housing which can easily fit on pedal board.
Based on legendary Orange Squeezer circuitry with various improvements to fit modern stages.
This circuit is well known for being transparent yet exquisite compression.
Clean cords are thicker and solo will be more present. And the guitar voluminous knob makes it more effective and the gains of distorted amplifiers and distortion effectors are more controllable.
Step on the foot switch to turn the pedals on and off.
The LED indicator will shine when turned on. Circuit is completely removed from the signal when OFF (True Bypass).
Orange Whip Compressor has two interior trim pots.
Multi-turn trimmer is a Bias trimmer that adjusts the bias of the circuit.
In factory settings, it is set to fit a typical pickup, but if you need more compressive you can turn this trimmer clockwise and counterclockwise if you need attack.
Please note that if you turn it too clockwise it may cause more noise, and the volume may be dropped if it is counterclockwise.
The other single turn trimmer is volume trimmer that adjusts volume.
If you move the Bias trimmer you usually need to adjust the volume trimmer as well.
The factory setting is set to be a unity gain when used with a guitar full up, but the volume may vary depending on your equipment, so please set it according to your environment.
Volume trimmer is available in larger and smaller versions than Bias trimmer depending on the lot.
There is no difference in the tone but the smaller trimmer is counterclockwise to increase the volume and the larger trimmer will turn the volume clockwise.
