Vitruvian Mod is a ring modulator with the soul of a synthesizer.
Inspired by synthesizers in additive methods, the pitch detection setting is different from the typical ring modulator and further adjustable.

What is a ring modulator?
The ring modulator is a bell sound effect by multiplying the two signals of the input and carrier.
Multiplication of two signals will result in a different frequency signal.
It is a very simple mechanism, but it is often obtained with annoying unharmonious.
So many ring modulators are difficult to use.
It produces interesting sounds but is difficult to control, especially when you move the knob of that effect at live.
Ordinary ring modulators are not a pedal that allows you to set the knob properly and enjoy the accidental sound when it comes to it.
It is meaningful to set it carefully.
But sometimes you want to use it easily.
At Subdecay, we came up with answers to these user-friendly problems without minimizing the potential of effects.
We have prepared an "Easy to Use" and an Entropy switch.
Both the Order and Chaos modes of this switch change the functions of the Carrier and FineTune knob.
Pitch detection
One of the ways to use the ring modulator is to add harmonic tones.
For a regular ring modulator, this only works with a few tones.
Other tunes will result in just a disconnection or chaos.
So we added pitch detection to Vitruvian Mod to offset inputs and carriers.
The offset is based on the harmonic ratio, creating an interesting parodor configuration no matter which sound is played.
Fixing carrier modulation.
Vitruvian Mod also creates a classic ring modulation sound by turning the TRACKING switch to 0 position.
Vitruvian Mods Carrier knob has 7 levels of switching between carrier knobs and if the Entropy switch is in Order position, the carrier modulation tone is E,A,D,G,B,E,A perfect guitar ring julator.
And with the Fine knob, you can tune the Carrier with a 3 degree range of up and down minor.
When the Entropy switch is in Chaos mode, you can adjust the range from 19 Hz to 2.5 khz by combining the Carrier and Fine Knobs.
In addition, Vitruvian Mod is designed to allow you to control the knobs and make sound, even if you dont know what the description has been saying for.
