USDA certified organic lead uses a newly made paper lead holder, reducing 70,000 pounds each year.
The Cane we use is 100% of the varieties with its roots in France, and the Argentina cane begins with French roots.
Organic Reserve and Select Jazz Reed are only the first step of organic products. By 2025, all Cane reed products will be certified organic.
DAddario uses a sophisticated proprietary blanking process to create products that are always in best condition right out of the box.
What is USDA organic certification? ]
USDA certified organic canes are cultivated and processed according to the US Federal guidelines for soil quality, pest and weed control and fertilizers.
In accordance with these guidelines, the producers are cultivated using natural materials as much as possible using physical and mechanical biologically based farming methods.
The USDA Organic Cane is not certified if it is not proven to grow in soil without prohibited substances for three years before harvesting.
Immediately after the acquisition of Rico in 2004, DAddario employs organic farming law, but it takes years to come through a process that takes the USDA Organic Certification.

What makes organic certified reeds different? ]
A. Certified Organic Canes are made from canes grown and processed using the USDA specified organic farming law. DAddario leashes are natural lead free from synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.
Why Reseve Series and Select Jazz Series are organic certified? ]
A. As Dadario farm cane is USDA organic certified, we will change it in order to see this certification package.
In addition to packaging changes, we plan to transfer from the plastic lead holder used to paper lead holders, and dramatically reduce the amount of plastic in the package.
While every package and lead holder change may take some time and meticulous attention to the next few years, we plan to transition all cane leashes into new packaging and paper lead holders.
(Is it the same quality as previous leads, and can you play it right away when you open the box? ]
A. The quality of the Dadario lead is not altered. We actually run the cultivation and manufacturing process of organic canes since years ago.
【Why convert plastic lead holder to paper lead holder? ]
A. At Dadario, we also believe in reducing environmental impact and making industry leading standards for sustainability. This is also important for instrument players. Among our many customers opinions, they want to get out of the plastic lead sleeve.

A. Paper lead holder has been the industry standard for decades. It is important that your lead arrives in perfect condition.
Thats why we believe that the paper lead holder is important, keeping your lead protected from sudden changes in humidity and environmental conditions while transporting or storing in musical instrument stores worldwide.
[Can the leash be stored after use or in a paper lead holder? ]
A. It is not recommended to store used leads in plastic or paper lead holders to prevent warping. We recommend storing using Dadario lead case or lead guard.
