About AMBAC System

The AMBAC System PAT. is a pin prevention mechanism for impact wrench sockets and accessories developed by KTC.Traditional pin and ring fastening method could cause the pin to pop out with the centrifugal force that occurs when the socket rotates.KTC conventional products have reduced centrifugal force caused by shortening the pin to prevent popping out. However, there are two protrusions on the inside of the ring to prevent the short pin from moving, so the ring is more difficult to put on and take off.

The KTCs AMBAC system utilizes the idea of reverse rotation to utilize the centrifugal force that was the cause of a pin to pop out.By using one side of the pin hole installed on the socket to prevent dropping, the center of gravity of the pin is moved from the socket to the wall, the centrifugal force generated during rotation is always working on the wall and ensuring that the pin will not come out due to centrifugal force.

The pins and rings for AMBAC systems are set in gray (silver) and black, and color coded alternately as the size grows, preventing accidents caused by misfitting rings and pins. The ring does not apply centrifugal force of the pin, so the diameter of the ring can be thinner, and the protrusions on the inside of the ring have been reduced from 2 to 1 location compared to KTC previous models, making it easier to install.Furthermore, the outside of the ring also has nibs so that you can see the hole position while the ring is set for convenient removal.
