Saw Blade Maintenance Tips:
1. Every time you change the blade, check the bearing, bandsaw pulley, drive belt to ensure it moves freely.
1.1 If the bearing does not move smoothly, you can spray vegetable oil to lubricate it.
1.2 For pulley, check for proper alignment, tension and wear, adjust as needed, and replace it if damaged.
1.3 Ensure the belt is securely attached and there are no signs of wear.
Then use the air compressor to blow away sawdust that fell inside the bandsaw
2. Break-in period
Please wear it a little before using a new blade. Otherwise, the teeth may break. This can be performed by dropping the speed in half and reducing the amount of feeding. 3-5 cuts back to normal speed. This increases the durability of the blade without losing the extra sharpness of the teeth.
3. Lubrication is key
Lubrication is essential when cutting metal with a bandsaw Do not use water as a lubricant, regardless of the type of material being cut.
4. Loosen the tension of the blade
When not in use, you need to loosen the tension of the blade. This shrinkage may cause small cracks in the blade if tension is constantly applied.
5. Sharpen the blade.
Sharpen the blade regularly is important to improve the sharpness of the blade.
