The upper is made with the North Faces proprietary waterproof and breathable material "FUTURELIGHT", which is both waterproof and moderately breathable. Advanced fork shape 3D TPU plate with slits for increased sole flexibility and increased landing stability and grip. Thicker EVA midsole for better shock absorption. A mid-cut model with a wide toe last that fits the width of the foot of the Japanese foot, and a wide range of motion to protect the ankles.
