Great for beginners. It is necessary for astronomy classes or when attending an astronomy society at college or school.

*Collimeter is factory calibrated but the optical axis cannot be adjusted for a long time.

Newton reflector telescope is sensitive to optical axis. Slightly moving the calibration screw may cause the optical axis to deflect.

Reflector telescope is very high precision, and the optical axis may be slightly shifted and sometimes collapsed when you get in the car.

The optical axis will vary even if the cylinder is in different directions. (As an interesting experiment, the same star is toward the equatorial globe and move it from left to right in the field of view to observe the optical axis.Offset)

Therefore, when performing calibration, you will need to choose a star instead of the object (Jupiter or Moon).Observing the deep space will be able to tolerate minor misalignment, and when you turn to planetary observation, there is no calibration occurred. This is not actually correct

It is a good way to check the optical axis before observing.

Easy to useEasy to use

7 levels of brightness adjustment.

Can be used normally during daytime.7 brightness settings are convenient and easy on the eyes, and great for different use depending on the light area.

Removable 2" Adapter

This is a 1.25" collimator with a removable 2" adapter.Triple bonded lens for increased dot stabilityDesigned for precise collimation of all Newton and SCT reflector telescopes.

Easy to use

No need to keep looking at the telescopes eyepiece cap, its very easy to look at the target and adjust the telescope until the point is centered.

How to use SVBONY SV120 collimator:

Repeat the calibration process (check-adjustment-check-adjusting....). There is no problem or risk throughout the process except

- Never touch the large middle screw that holds the suicorter.

- The three fine adjustment screws need to be tightened and loosened very gently, so as not to be too loose or too tight.

- When one of the screws is screwed, the other two will be screwed.

- Make sure to move it small when spinning.Very irregular mirrors can be rotated halfway at a time, but the final adjustment is still very small.

- The star moves for this adjustment with every turn. You will need to pull it in the middle again.
