Precision tuning with EAW exceptional technology
The C-Series passive loudspeaker is Mackies first lightweight passive speaker tuned by the EAW loudspeaker development team.With over 25 years of experience in high power loudspeakers, EAW has been making speakers for the most important scenes including Super Bowl, Iron Maiden, and Pope Serenary.Such a very large system can be much more expensive, but the C300z employs many of the same concepts.For example, a custom 12" LF driver that supports frequency response from 50Hz to 3000Hz, and a 3" voice coil that drives it, it achieves well controlled wide-directional properties and 1.75" high range titanium drivers and horns that play medium and high frequency frequencies from 1000Hz to 20,000Hz. in the USA.

Enclosure DifferenceAt the factory anyone can assemble the enclosure, put the unit in (and thats exactly what many staff work).But when you put the low-pass unit in a square enclosure it will resonate with the reflections from the back, and the phase is inverted between the corn paper which will destroy the sound quality.The C300z enclosure has an asymmetric monocock design and lacks parallel surfaces, so the medium and high frequency resonance will be directed to the internal sound absorbing material according to that angle without interfering with the woofer. |
