Description
ShockStop stems do what gloves and extra bar tape can. It separates your upper body from poor condition paths, allowing you to ride farther, faster, and more comfortably. The patent pending ShockStop is specifically designed for road and hybrid bikes from the ground up. Fine-tune suspension labels, weights, feel and beauty to perfectly complement your bike or road ride.
ShockStop dramatically improves your ride quality without sacrificing steering response or compromising the beauty of your bike. The slight PurePivot design allows the front end of the motorcycle to move up and down uneven road areas while the elastomer inside the stem acts as a cushion to help the driver move smoothly.
ShockStops reinforced aluminum components are specially twisted and hardened to give a natural feel when riding up or running at full speed. Limited travel provides enough cushioning and does not affect the geometry or handling of the bike.
What kind of feeling? Smooth. The road vibration is almost completely eliminated and dramatically reduces the impact of ridges and cracks.
The ShockStop comes with 5 different ride adjustment elastomers so you can adjust the feel perfectly. Racers, triathlon players, and competitive riders can choose a solid setting that holds the traditional front-end feel, and can be used for commuting to work, fitness enthusiasts and endurance riders can adjust to a soft feel to maximize comfort.
Compatibility:
ShockStop fits most road bikes, hybrid bikes and triathlon bikes. If your bike has a threadless stem, it is easy to replace. If your bike has Quill stems, you must have individual Quill stem adapters.

Note: Handlebars with backward angle toward the rider limit the effectiveness of the suspension. ShockStop is not recommended for handlebars where the hand position (grip) is above 1" (25mm) behind the handlebar clamp.
