Tin is second only to expensive metals to gold and silver, which has a strong antibacterial effect and is not easy to oxidate. Other metals are typically added to give it a hardness, however Norse Tin does not contain any of them. 100% tin is soft and can be easily bent by hand depending on its shape and thickness. After use, wash with a soft sponge with a mild kitchen detergent. Use baking soda if the gloss becomes dull. However, the inner gold foil part is metal.
