Description

From the square filter manufacturer, Cokin presents the XL size of the "EVO Filter Holder" high precision, high strength aluminum square filter holder. The main body material has been changed from resin to aluminum, making it possible to achieve a smooth installation experience that has never been before. It also has improved strength. XL size (130mm width) allows you to use up to 3 square filters at the same time. The EVO filter holder also allows you to customize the filter slot without any tools. When using a wide lens, use a single filter slot to reduce vignetting by using only one filter.
Additional features include a 5.0 inch (127 mm) round filter at the tip of the holder. This results in both half ND filters and PL filters. More creative shooting, with the blackout mask on the body of the holder (main plate) to prevent light leakage from the gap between the filter and plate. It is also available for long exposure photography. Also works with other brands of 100mm wide angle filters such as Kenko and LEE Filters.

EVO filter holder features a round frame filter on the front unlike ordinary Cokin filter holders.The dedicated EVO C-PL (sold separately) needs to be rotated according to the situation, but it is attached to the front for smooth operation.Even when stacked with square filters, the square filter settings can be manipulated without affecting the setting of the square filter, allowing for advanced filtering.

The EVO allows you to customize the number of filter slots by removing four screws on each end without any tools.The number of slots is 1 to 3 and can be changed according to your needs.

Light leaks are a huge enemy when shooting square-shaped filters that capture a lot of light such as long exposure.Therefore, the EVO filter holder is equipped with a blackout mask on the main plate (holder).This blackout mask prevents light from leaking through the gap between the filter and the main plate for comfortable shooting.

In addition, use the exclusive EVO accordion hood (sold separately) to prevent flare in strong sunlight.By contracting the accordion according to the focal length of the lens used, the amount of light can be easily changed.The accordion hood is only medium and large.
