The center of the dowel is made of steel, so it can be used for soft wood as well as hard wood. With solid dowel centers and empty pieces, you can choose what you need.

Available in 4 sizes, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 13mm, the set includes two centers, each size of the nail. Drill a set of holes, slip into the center of the dowel nail, and press the joint together. The center point of the dowel is exactly where the hole in the other part.
