★Different operating direction
The slide switch is "Slide the knob to operate" as its name.
Figure 1 a) is a vertical knob that operates from the top of the piece.
Figure 1 b) is the knob placed on the side and operated from the side.
Figure 1 c) is the position of the knob is horizontal, but the slide operation is up and down.
Each function is selected, depending on the purpose.
★Internal structure
Figure 2 is the structural principle of the slide switch.
The internal movable splices (metal) slide through the knob, and if you slide them to the left as shown in Figure 2 a, the terminals 1 and 2 are connected through the movable splices.
Also, if you slide it to the right, as shown in the figure 2 b), the terminals 2 and 3 are connected.
