GREGORY History - INCE 1977

Wayne Gregory is part of the Boy Scout Project at the age of 14, who builds his first wooden frame pack to become a backpack.His pack was highly completed and impressed by the owner of Adventure 16, Andy Dollinger, a passion and talent for making things, Wayne was invited as the second employee of Adventure 16 and worked in a store for several years.

At the age of 22, we established Sunbird, who became a backpack company with his wife Suzie, and we aim to create an external frame pack that combines design and functionality to have never been before.However, in 1973, Sunbird was dissolved and as a free designer who worked in sleeping bags, tents, technical wear, etc., and produced a variety of gears for many outdoor manufacturers, to further enhance their technology, knowledge, and experience.Feel the limits on the external frame packs, a new stream of seekment for a pack never before is pushing his thoughts for the puck design.We reconfirms the passion in your heart and decided to start a backpack specialty company and founded "Gregory Mountain Products" in San Diego in 1977.In the following 30 years, we have both our headquarters and production sites located in Southern California.It was a daily routine that started making packs at the back of the store and captured customers in a technical topic.And we have incorporated new ideas into the product making based on mountain guides and feedback from the general customers.

Wayne believed that fitting was more important than anything in the backpack business.Gregory innovative ideas, ergonomic design, and commitment to the highest quality...The passion is not going to chill and is reflected in the latest pack development until today.The constant pursuit of comfort, fit, durability and functionality is in constant pursuit of evolution, and continues to surprise everyone who wears it.
