Description
■ Shape: Flanged Hex Nut
Hex nut on one side with a seat larger than two sides
The seat surface has a large amount of tightening strength and prevents loosening.
Use a tool such as a spanner or wrench to tighten it.
■ Thread Shape: Fine
Finer than the nations most standard pitch (coarse) prescribed by ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standard. Compared to coarse threads, it has a shallow valley and a larger cross-section area which makes it less likely to loose. Please note that there are multiple sizes of pitch depending on the thickness of the screw. Primarily used where precision is required.
■Material: Iron (S45C)
It is a high carbon steel called carbon steel for mechanical structures. It contains more carbon than iron, has better quenching properties and is stronger than iron.
■Surface treatment: Chromate
Chromate-treated for corrosion resistance
Chromate coating is more corrosion resistant than unichrome It contains harmful hexavalent chromium and does not comply with RoHS directive. The alternative is trivalent white.
