Description

Chabitsu is a container with a lid that can hold all your tea tools. The lid can also be used as a tray. Once it was a household item that was always warm and is indispensable next to a chubby table. It is still used in private houses and inns. Kishu Coki (Kishu Lacquerware) is said to be the beginning of the Muromachi period. The painting technique has been passed down to excellent lacquer workers, and has been designated for traditional crafts by the Department of Committee in 1955.
