While typical undersaddle type pickups are sound dependent on the pressure of the string, the Element is designed to reflect the actual movement of the soundboard in real time.
At the center of the pickup is a flexible film sensor that is only 1/2 thousand inch thick to pick up the most delicate nuances of the guitar. By tracking the motion of the guitars top plate instead of direct string pressure, it suppresses the uncomfortable attack sound that is common with undersaddle types, resulting in an unparalleled dynamic range. The minimalistic structure of the pickup reduces the effects of the guitars original acoustic properties and allows for a closer connection between the pickup and the guitar, ensuring maximum fidelity.
