The BLACK TUSQ XL series moves and vibrates on the nut, creating a thin Teflon membrane on the contact surface by friction. When it comes to lubricating, the string will not be fixed more than necessary for the nut, reducing the stress that tends to focus on one point. This makes the string less likely to cut and makes tuning more stable.
