About Arita Ware

Arita Ware is a representative Japanese porcelain produced in a region centered around Arita town in the west of Saga Prefecture.

It originated in 1616, the Korean pottery "Ri Jimhei" was brought together by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, a Korean soldier.

It is derived from finding fine ceramic stone that is a raw material of porcelain in Izumiyama Arita.

With over 400 years of history, more than 200 kilogen continues to create their own pieces.

Hand-crafted construction

Arita ware is the main production of porcelain, which is mainly made from stone.Unglazed, kiln fired, top painting firing and repeated kilns to enhance its texture and produce a product with a strong strength.
