While the main jet adjusts the amount of gasoline at high speed (3/4 to fully open), pilot jet has a low speed range of 0 to 1/4 of the throttle opening and supplies fuel to the middle range where the main jet is working. It plays an important role in responsing in low speed and smoothly strokes.
