概要
マイク·アンプ·スピーカーが一体となった携帯型拡声装置。店舗、学校、イベントやスポーツの会場、工事現場等で注意を喚起する際や災害時の救助·復旧活動時に使用する。マイク部に入力された音声をアンプ部で電気的に増幅し、それをスピーカー部により効率的に拡声し、話者は大きな声を出すことなく遠くまで音声情報を伝達する事ができる。このシリーズには、小型タイプ（ER-1106W/グレー色）、超小型タイプ（ER-1103W/グレー色）、さらにホイッスル音を出す機能を備えているタイプ（ER-1106W/黄色）、サイレン音を出す機能を備えているタイプ（ER-1106S/赤色）がある。
デザイナーのコメント
この商品が今後約10年売られ、使い続けられることを想定し、デザイン的に成熟したメガホンという商品カテゴリーにおいて新しいスタンダードとなるデザインを提案することがこのプロジェクトの究極の目的でした。そのためには、最大限に熟考された機能性や使い勝手、ユーザーや聴衆の心理作用への考慮、今日的で幅の広い使用シーンに違和感なく溶け込むための配慮など、いずれの側面からも妥協のないデザインを心がけました。
審査委員のコメント
メガホンは、店舗、学校、イベントやスポーツの会場、工事現場等で注意を喚起する際や災害時の救助·復旧活動時に使用する。通常デザインされていない商品をこのレベルまでデザインしたことを評価。従来のメガホン·拡声器のイメージを覆している。カラーリングも美しい。ユーザーにとっても長時間使用に耐えられる、人間工学に配慮した設計も評価する。

Regarding changes in battery life
Megaphone battery life was measured with red manganese batteries prescribed by the previous JEITA standard, but due to the improvement of the standard, the measurement of black manganese batteries.
The battery life will be longer as the battery is changed.
