ブランド紹介

高品質なテニスシューズを作り出すためにカリフォルニアで生まれた本格的なテニスブランド。スイス人のアート·ブルナーとアーネスト·ブルナー兄弟が米国カリフォルニア州に移住してK.SWISSを立ち上げたのがブランドの始まり。カリフォルニアは彼らの母国語のドイツ語では「Kalifornien」、そのイニシャル「K」と彼らのルーツである「Swiss」を合わせたのがブランド名の起源と言われています。当時テニスシューズと言えば、すべてキャンバス地。ブルナー兄弟はスキーヤーであった経験をいかしてテニスシューズを世界で初めてレザーを使用して耐久性を高めた、シンプルかつ高機能の「Classic」を世に送り出す。ブランド誕生から50周年を迎える2016年より「コートスタイル」「コートパフォーマンス」「コートフィットネス」のカテゴリーを軸にリブランディングを行います。
