RWS provides a reliable and secure lock, which is the most important function. Unlike general quick releases, RWS utilizes a system that generates tightening torque using the bolt connection between the lever and shaft. Now you can tighten the lever clockwise by hand (min. 15 Nm hand force). Depending on the frame or fork structure, the lever can also be closed by moving it back and forth several times. Finally, the lever will stay in the perfect position. RWS provides up to 50% higher tightening torque compared to normal quick releases. This not only increases safety, but also makes the connection between the wheel and frame/fork more solid and serves to improve the rigidity of the bike overall.
