The midsole is equipped with extra foam for excellent shock absorption when landing. In addition, the midfoot structure is trapezoidal to reduce side distortion when landing, and improve stability. The outsole is designed with the North Faces proprietary EXTS system that increases the performance of acceleration, deceleration and flex on the trail. It combines rigidity and stability for long races to accommodate a variety of road conditions and field conditions.
