M2 (6542) high speed steel tap has high hardness, good toughness, abrasion resistance, excellent cutting performance. 9SiCr alloy tool steel dice have excellent hardness, toughness, abrasion resistance and durability.
Tap and die set can cut and repair or clean the screws accurately. Straight blade taps are processed through holes and shallow stop holes, and the shavings are discharged downwards. Round dice are suitable for threading rods, bolts, screws, pipes, shafts, or for removing bolts and threaded rods. Widely used in most metals such as iron, copper, zinc, alloy steel, polished steel, stainless steel etc.
Metric taps & dice are clean with no burrs, and the tapping direction is right-handed. The screw dice have conical locking holes that are strong and will not loose. Uncoated tools only feature a base board and are ideal for a wide range of applications.
Dice can be used with dice tack wrench (sold separately). Insert the fixing screw in the middle of the wrench into the slot of the die to tighten it. Machine taps are used in drilling machines, tapping machines, CN C, milling machines. For better quality screws and more durable taps & dice, apply appropriate cutting lubricant or oil.
Tip: You can control the speed according to the hardness of the material. The higher the hardness the slower the speed. The force must be uniform during tapping work. Drill a hole with a twist twist drill bit, then tap with a screw tap. The tapping angle must be stable at a vertical 90 degree.
