【adidas / アディダス】 「アディダス」は1920年に西ドイツのルドルフとアドルフのダスラー兄弟が靴製造会社「ダスラー兄弟社」を設立したのが始まりです。 兄のルドルフが販売を、弟のアドルフが生産を主に担当し、1924年にスポーツシューズ製造工場を建設して体育館用シューズを本格的に作り始めました。 「それぞれのスポーツにあった専門性の高いスニーカーが必要だ」という哲学を反映させた彼らのスニーカーはアスリート達の間で評判となり、数多くの競技大会で好成績に貢献したことで一躍有名になりました。 しかし1948年、兄弟の意見対立により「ダスラー兄弟商会」は解消され、アドルフは自らのニックネーム(アディ·ダスラー)から社名をとって「アディダス」を新たに設立します。その後も製品技術向上を目指し改良を重ね、「アディダス」は世界でも有数のスポーツ用品メーカーへと成長しました。 誰もが知っているシンボルマークの「スリーストライプス(三本線)」は、1948年にアドルフが初めてスポーツシューズに使用したことから誕生し、翌年「アディダス」の商標として正式に登録されたものです。右に向かって伸びるスリーストライプスは、未来へ向けてのチャレンジと目標の達成を表しています。 また「アディダス」には、“スーパースター"、“セダンスミス"、“スタンスミス"、“カントリー"、“トップサラ"、“プレデター"といったロングセラー商品が多く、アスリートやミュージシャンなど幅広い層に愛好家が存在しており、「アディダス」の靴の人気の根強さを物語っています。
