This fuel tank weight is difficult to absorb bubbles caused by engine or fuselage vibration and model changes in posture, and it can send foamless fuel to the engine that can cause breathing or ensting. The silicone O-ring is also inlaid in the outer circumference so it wont scratch the inside of the fuel tank. Therefore, there is no friction crumbs that clog the carburetor and cause trouble, reducing engine trouble.
