This is the first stratocaster humbucking pickup we developed in the early 1980s.
This pickup has two features.
In humbucking mode, the sound quality is cleaner and brighter than the traditional humbucker. Sounds like a very nice vintage pickup in single coil mode.
It is also very low noise on humbucking mod and is ideal for use with high gain amplifiers and rack systems.
The HS-2 will work in all 3 positions if the guitar is the same as a regular Strat configuration. Its a good part of a set up that you mix with HS-3 and HS-4 models.
The HS-2 also works with guitar in H-S-H pickup combinations and recommended PAF Pro, FRED, Air Classic, and Humbucker From Hell for neck and bridge positions.
