LP Wood Bongo is complemented with a backing plate to prevent cracks from entering the Bongo shell for style that salsa players drop the Bongo to the floor and play strong. The 5/16 inch diameter tuning lugs are wrapped in a combination of aluminum die-cast lowers for easy playing. Rims come in two types: traditional rim and LP Comfort Curve II rim, each in gold and chrome finishes.
