Headway Music, the #1 acoustic instrument pickup system in the UK, launched in Japan in 2015, is a portable preamp model that has won many users in Japan. These preamps, EDB-2 and EDM-1 were made last year, and the successor model was waiting for you.

This time, we have achieved a significant gain up with ultra-low noise with a more improved Class A amplifier circuit. In addition, the new H.E.A.T (= Harmonic Enhanced Analog Technology) function allows the user to add a natural treble component to their preference.

This model incorporates the know-how of Headway Music Audio company that has been dedicated to acoustic instrument pick-up system, and you can choose from 2 models, EDB-2 H.E that can create detailed sound with dual channels, and a compact EDM-1 H.E with mono channel.

Not only is it an acoustic guitar, but it also allows you to naturally amplify the sound of the instrument such as the Ukulele, Mandolin, Violin, Woodbass, etc. Works great in both recording and live performances.

The popular first generation model has been greatly improved with dual channel acoustic instrument preamp/DI for practical and high sound quality. One of them is a harmonic enhancer with H.E.A.T (= Harmonic Enhanced Analog Technology) function. It works with bandwidth of 1 kHz or higher to get glittering sound continuously variable. You can choose between channel 1 or 2 or both channels to fit your instrument. The dual channel design allows you to connect two different instruments such as electric bass and upright, steel string guitar and nylon string guitar, and is convenient for muting people who do not use it. Even more powerful is that you have two different types of pickups in one instrument. You can enjoy a combination of pickup and microphone with the Eleaco Guitar, or combine it with a wood-based piezo pickup and transducer to create a blending sound. The built-in commercial grade class A circuitry preamp and musical 5-band EQ make detailed sounds, as well as the notch filter and phase switch provide perfect countermeasure for stage feedback. In addition to the XLR out of the signal path to the PA, it also comes with a phone jack for convenient monitors. It is equipped with a mini jack to connect a audio source for practice or backing. It uses a robust aluminum chassis casing that is safe for use on stage or transport.

This is a single channel type acoustic instrument preamp/DI that has been contracted to the high performance of EDB-2 H.E. It supports a wide range of impedance inputs, and can also be used to supply phantom power to a connected pickup if needed. The internal preamp is a class A circuit similar to EDB-2 H.E, and is equipped with a simple yet effective 3-band EQ. Especially unique is the "Range" control that can be switched continuously to fit your instrument. The effect of the high-pass filter is written in the instrument name, which reduces feedback and booming sensations caused by unnecessary ingredients from medium to low ranges, and cuts out unnecessary vibrations and environmental factors.
