Semi-tubular rivets (tubular rivets) are similar to solid rivets unless there is a partial hole in the tip (opposite side of the head). The aim of this hole is to reduce the amount of force required for application by rotating the tubular part outward.
The force required to apply semi tubular rivets is approximately 1/4 of the amount required to apply a solid rivet. Tubular rivets can also be used as a pivot point (joint where movement is prioritized) because the rivet inflates only on the tail. Permanent zippers with excellent bonding strength.
Rivet clinch can be rolled clinched, segmented (star set), spin, flared or pressed clinched.
Tube hole rivets are often used for clinching materials (leather - cardboard - plastic - rubber - cloth) without pre-drilled or pre-drilled workpiece holes.
